RUNS APP LLC ("Runs," "we," "our," or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Runs mobile application, website, and related services.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: Name, email address, phone number (if provided), and profile details including username and profile picture.
Payment Information: Runs does not store or have access to your full payment card details. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant provider. Stripe stores payment methods and provides Runs with a secure reference only. Wallet balance information (real money funds added by the user and in-app credits earned through Battle Pass) may be retained for account purposes.
Public & User-Generated Content: Username, profile picture, stats (XP, game history), profile card info, chat messages, photos or videos you upload, and audio data from features such as voice functionality may be visible to other users or stored on our servers.
Usage Data: Games joined, tournaments, Battle Pass progress, interactions, and activity within the app.
Location Data: Approximate location (city-level) and, if permitted, precise location to find nearby games and venues.
Contact Information: We may collect your physical mailing address solely for the purpose of shipping physical rewards (such as jerseys) to users who earn them through in-app achievements. This information is used only to fulfill that shipment and is not used for any other purpose.
Device & Technical Data: Device type, OS, app version, IP address, device identifiers (including advertising identifiers), and crash/performance logs (via Firebase). Camera and microphone access may be used (with your permission) for features such as profile pictures, selfie verification, and audio functionality.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
-Provide and manage games, tournaments, and accounts
-Process payments and transactions
-Send updates, notifications, and promotional communications about Runs features and offerings
-Personalize your in-app experience
-Improve performance and user experience
-Prevent fraud and abuse
Legal Basis (GDPR): We process data based on your consent, to provide services, comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate business interests.
3. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services to operate and improve the app, including:
-Firebase (Google LLC) (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Messaging, App Check, Cloud Functions) for account management, data storage, push notifications, and backend processing
-Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In for authentication
-Google Maps and Geolocator for location services and venue display
-Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics for analytics and performance monitoring
-Google AdMob for advertising
-Stripe for payment processing
-Klipy for GIF search and sharing functionality, which may display ads within GIF content and may collect device identifiers and usage data in accordance with its own privacy policy
These services may collect information such as device identifiers, usage data, and technical data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
4. Advertising & Tracking
Runs may offer optional rewarded ads (e.g., watching a video ad in exchange for in-app rewards such as XP). These ads are provided by Google AdMob, which may collect device identifiers (including advertising identifiers), usage data, and advertising data to deliver personalized or non-personalized ads. AdMob may use this data to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes. Watching ads is completely optional and not required to use the app. You can control ad personalization and limit tracking through your device settings (e.g., "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android).
Additionally, GIF content provided through Klipy may include ads embedded within the GIF browsing experience. Klipy may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve this content. Use of the GIF feature is optional.
5. Sharing Information
We only share data when necessary:
-With other users (public profile info)
-With service providers (e.g., Stripe, Firebase)
-With event partners/facilities
-When required by law
We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties. We may use your contact information for our own marketing and promotional communications about Runs; this is not the same as selling or sharing your data with advertisers.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide services and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and applicable laws. When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable timeframe.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Your data may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries.

Runs is intended for users 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
